PSA: iPhone 6s and 6s Plus available for pre-order at 5:01pm today
As announced in Apple’s keynote event on Thursday morning, Australian pre-orders for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus go live at 5:01pm today, which should be less than four hours by the time you read this.
With the exception of Optus, none of the Aussie telcos have announced pricing just yet, but Reckoner will be adding them to their plan pricing spreadsheet when they do.
On the other hand, if you’ve already made up your mind and will be handing over your hard-earned, first-born, or whatever it takes to get one on launch day, do us a favour and make your pre-order of the new iPhone via the AppleTalk affiliate link for the Apple Online Store.
Alternatively, if the Apple Online Store dies as soon as pre-orders go up (it wouldn’t be the first time, although this is the first time we’ve had a major product released with the new Apple Online Store front-end), your next best bet will be to do your business via the Apple Store app from your iOS device, and to that end, you may wish to make sure your billing and address details are up to date to expedite the check-out process. You know, before shipping times blow out to November or something.
Happy pre-ordering! More discussion on this in the forums.
